What if I want to use a gateway that is currently unsupported by FoxyCart?
OPTION 0: WE MAY ALREADY SUPPORT YOUR GATEWAY
First things first, please review the list of supported gateways on our features page. If you don’t see your gateway there please follow the steps below.
OPTION 1: REQUEST YOUR GATEWAY
We ask that all new gateway requests are added to our gateway request page, which allows us to keep track of them. It also will notify you once we complete an item you’ve voted for, which can be nice.
OPTION 2: BOUNTY THE GATEWAY
Sometimes we can rush development of a particular gateway for a small fee (a “bounty”). Bounties are a good way for us to cover the costs associated with adding a new gateway, paying our team for the overtime, and giving us justification to shuffle our development schedule a bit. Costs and turnaround times vary depending on the complexity, but "standard" gateways typically take less time than hosted payment systems or alternate payment methods. We charge the fee because it does take quite a bit of time to do, and we already have a full schedule as is, so it helps us justify spending the extra hours on it. (We realize that a specific payment method might be critical to your store, but if we have thousands of users waiting on other functionality, we need to make the decision that's best for our business and our users.)
Also important to note is that we can currently only handle gateways that have documentation in English.
